My sister had the obituary for Lois. She passed August 16, 2002. I knew her from grade school, Oak Ridge Elementary until graduation. She was very friendly and I always remember her smiling.
I liked Lois very much. As many have said, she was a beautiful girl--tall and very poised looking. She was fun, too. I remember talking with her at the last reunion she attended.
Lois and I became friends in our senior year. We would go to sorority meetings and then cruise Coonskin in her Mustang. A few of us, including Steve Penn and Ken Lynn, took a day trip to Huntington for a yearbook function at Marshall. She wasn't even on the staff and I don't remember why or how she was with us but we sure had fun. She probably skipped school that day.
We continued our friendship at Marshall for the short time she was there. After that, I would occasionally see her around town. It was always great to see her as she always had a hug and a kind word.

Lois and I were friends since Roosevelt. She was a good person. Gone too soon.
