Murray was a kind and gentle guy.  When I think of him, I remember taking our 6th grade class photo to him while he was home fighting rheumatic fever and the joy he showed knowing that his classmates were pulling for him.  Be at peace my friend.

A sweet memory, David. Mine is sitting with him in an English class. Murray was smart, polite, and witty. He had a serious side, too, and maybe that was derived from his childhood illness. It was always a pleasure to talk with him.

Murry and I became close friends at college in Morgantown, and we remailed life-long friends after he relocated to San Diego. He had a successful career working for CalTran (highway dept) and very much enjoyed living in beautiful southern California. From what I understand, Murray underwent surgery for a heart issue and perished during the surgery. As others noted, Murray had a kind soul. My family and I miss him dearly.

Murray was the best friend a person would want.  Always perfectly in tune to your needs, always the perfect gentleman.   The world needs more Murrays.  RIP gentle Murray.

Murray was my first real date.  He took me to the Sweet Heart Dance when we we in 9th grade.  We remained friends through high school, drifting in and out of one another's lives as circumstances provided.  He was always kind and always a true gentleman.  I am sad that he has passed on.
